Winter National Pre-Departure Orientation

Winter National Pre-Departure orientation Goals:

Congratulations on your acceptance into one of our Youth Study Abroad programs. We are excited to welcome you to the YFU family! Winter National Pre-Depature Orientation (NPDO) will equip you with cross-cultural communication and adaptation skills to prepare for your time abroad. You are expected to attend this orientation.

December 2 – December 4, 2016

Washington, DC. The Nation’s Capital

All of the training sessions will be carried out at YFU USA’s national office

Students will be staying with adult chaperones at a local hotel, a short Metro ride away from the YFU USA office

The cost of this orientation is included in the tuition fee. There will be no costs to students while attending Winter NPDO, aside from any souvenirs or personal items that the student would like to purchase.

I think that the best part of the orientation was getting so close with teams and doing special exercises! I also enjoyed learning about others experiences as exchange students!
The best part, in my opinion, was getting to meet people from all over the country. I also feel like I am more sure of going abroad.
