The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance to the Chief of Staff relating to changes and developments of YFU’s IT systems and processes. In addition to possessing the technical knowledge to learn the back end of YFU’s IT systems, the IT Operations Manager can clearly and effectively communicate changes, issues, and outcomes to YFU stakeholder staff and customers. The IT Operations Manager has an overall understanding of YFU’s mission and organizational goals and makes decisions and recommendations to align the IT Department to those goals and budget considerations. The position can think strategically, but can also act with a direct hands-on-approach to resolve issues and interface professionally with customers.

Position Summary: Study Abroad Enrollment Coordinator is responsible primarily for the retention of student applicants and conversion from the students applied to students enrolled. The Study Abroad Enrollment Coordinator works closely with the Study Abroad Coordinator and the Outbound Admissions department and stays in communication with students and parents interested in future programs. The position contributes to the organizational goal of expanding and developing YFU USA’s outbound programs. 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all Study Abroad (outbound exchange) programs as well as the technical elements of applying and enrolling

  • Retain interest and confidence of Study Abroad students and parents prior to departure through virtual meetings, phone calls and emails

  • Share communications responsibilities with Study Abroad Coordinator to ensure every new and existing Study Abroad inquiry is thoroughly followed up with in a timely fashion

  • This includes general incoming communications such as the 1.800.TEENAGE phone line, info@yfu.org email address, and online chat robot

  • Maintain record of communications within the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) in accordance with YFU USA protocol

  • Oversee application interview process, work with Community Engagement Manager staff to ensure timely assignment and completion of interviews

  • Manage scholarship evaluation process and maintain detailed records and reviews of scholarship applicants to present to corporate and private sponsors

  • Communicate with educators regarding students’ academic trajectory to invoke an appealing but realistic understanding

  • Assist Study Abroad Coordinator in annually updating webpages to reflect programmatic details and logistics of current programs

  • Streamline communication between Study Abroad Coordinator and Outbound Admissions department and manage outbound applications during the time between application submission and program enrollment

  • Streamline communication between IT services and other Study Abroad stakeholders regarding technical elements of the application process

  • Occasionally assist in editing/creating specific sales marketing plans for YFU programs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, International Relations, Education Management, or similar fields

  • Extended travel, or living/studying overseas preferred

  • 2-3 years administrative or account management support, with marketing and/or sales administrative experience preferred

  • Strong organizational, planning, and logistical skills

  • Strong telephone presence and comfort in virtual meeting settings

  • Working knowledge of Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint programs

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Comfortable working with remote staff and volunteers

  • Ability to, on occasion, work outside traditional work times due to weekend or evening calling and follow-up needs
