The Registration Specialist facilitates the vetting of host family applications according to Department of State (DOS) regulations within YFU. Work as part of a team to manage the workflow of the registration department and its processing of International Student paperwork. Manage and maintain the administrative office in an efficient and accurate manner. Responsible for the review and initial approval of placement documentation. Maintain and follow through on standard operating practices and procedures to meet compliance requirements and YFU quality standards. Provide administrative assistance to Regional staff and volunteers. As assigned, work closely with Study Abroad registration assisting with the enrollment process.
The Community Engagement Manager provides support, training and guidance to volunteers, students, host families and schools to support a strong, vibrant YFU community. This position reports to the Directors of E&T and Engagement/Volunteer Programs and Engagement and is located in the DC Office or home-based.
The Community Development Manager supports the recruitment needs of YFU programs by developing and growing vibrant YFU communities and increasing market share for both inbound and outbound program participants within assigned geographical boundaries. The Community Development Manager is a strong networker and an interactive confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills. This position reports to the Director of Sales and is located in the DC office or home based.
The role of the Coordinator/Group Leader has two major parts: pre-program trip design/coordination and program execution/chaperoning. The contractor will plan and finalize travel details according to the program requirements, serve as a Group Leader throughout their stay in the U.S., and submit necessary reports upon completion of program. Prior years’ trip itineraries will be made available to the Contractor if relevant, and Contractor should design each trip using his/her own research and network in accordance with the program goals.
The role of ESOL Teacher has two major parts: Pre-Program Class Preparation and Program Execution. The ESOL Teacher will plan and teach ESOL instruction classes for 15 Germen students based on their English level. Prior years curriculum may be requested if relevant and English classes should incorporate the themes of community service encountered by the students during their various activities. The final class should include final presentations by the students exhibiting what they’ve learned throughout the program. The program runs from Monday, October 22 to Friday, November 2, 2018.
The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance to the Chief of Staff relating to changes and developments of YFU’s IT systems and processes. In addition to possessing the technical knowledge to learn the back end of YFU’s IT systems, the IT Operations Specialist can clearly and effectively communicate changes, issues, and outcomes to YFU stakeholder staff and customers. The IT Operations Specialist has an overall understanding of YFU’s mission and organizational goals and makes decisions and recommendations to align the IT Department to those goals and budget considerations. The position can think strategically, but can also act with a direct hands-on-approach to resolve issues and interface professionally with customers.
