Cathy White
Starting in 2002 as a host mom, Cathy White soon became deeply involved in YFU USA exchange programs. She expanded her role into volunteering and in 2005, came on board as a Field Director in Northeast Texas. The area also included four surrounding states, where she became an established leader in the field for the next eleven years. Cathy has continued to host YFU students from countries around the world (including Japan, Thailand, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Germany and Italy), while raising her three sons, one of whom embarked on a GAP Year program with YFU to Thailand. Cathy now serves as the Regional Director for the Western Region of the US, which consists of nine fields and welcomes an estimated 400–450 students per year. With a background in Scouting, as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for eight years, and Customer Service and Sales for approximately twelve years, Cathy is committed to supporting a quality experience for all YFU program participants.
