Youth Summer Culture and Study
Spend your summer in a High School in US with YFU's cultural study tours. International students can travel to US and spend two weeks with fellow classmates from around the world.
Interested in US culture and language? Curious about what American Independence Day celebrations (and fireworks!) are like? This summer, travel to the US and join fellow classmates ages 13-18 from around the world for a two-week life-changing experience!
Spend two weeks in Washington DC next summer: July 1 through July 16, 2017
Are you ready to improve your English skills and have a fun, American experience? Students in YFU's Summer Culture and Study Tours receive English language instruction three days per week. When you are not in class, you will visit cultural and community sites and attend events with YFU staff. On weekends you'll spend time with your YFU host family. You'll also get to celebrate one of the USA's most important holidays, Independence Day. The Nation's Capital is a great place to spend July 4th!
If you want to improve your English skills, make friends, and experience typical American family life, this program is for you!
Summer Cultural and Study Tour participants must have a basic level of English language understanding and strong interest in learning about US history and culture. US families will open their homes to you and provide accommodations, meals and a supportive family for an unforgettable, intercultural experience!
Program tuition includes:
- Enrollment in YFU Culture and Language classes
- YFU sponsored activities
- 24-hour participant support
- Placement with a supportive host family
- A welcome orientation
- Pick-up and Drop-off assistance from airport
