Kaitlyn Gentling

Kaitlyn Gentling found her love for International Education and travel during a study abroad program that led her to Seoul, South Korea and Osaka, Japan while she studied at California State University, Long Beach. Where she graduated with a BA in Asian Studies. After graduation she attended SIT Graduate Institute where she pursued her passion for International Education and graduated with a Master’s degree in May 2016. While studying at SIT she went on a faculty led trip to South Africa, interned with the US-UK Fulbright in London, and worked for Worcester State University in the International Programs Office while working on her thesis. Gentling joined YFU as a volunteer last summer, 2017, and has participated in many different roles; facilitating orientations, Area Representative, conducting SEE visits, host family interviews, study abroad interviews, and host family recruitment. One of Gentling’s main goals she hopes to achieve while serving on the NVAC is to help other volunteers feel supported and valued for the hard work and effort they put into their volunteer work.
