Kelly Horst

Kelly Horst started her journey in international education at the age of 19, when she embarked on her own study abroad program in Spain. While living with a host family, she learned invaluable lessons in intercultural understanding. She joined YFU USA in February of 2013, bringing years of experience working on Department of State Scholarship Programs like the Youth Exchange and Study Program and the Future Leaders Exchange Program. In addition to her current role, Kelly has served YFU as a Volunteer Program Coordinator, and Mid-Atlantic Field Director. Prior to working in international education, she worked in civic education and in youth empowerment with the Close Up Foundation. Kelly is from Baltimore, Maryland and holds a B.A. in International Relations, and an M.A. in International Education Policy.
