Gabrielle McGinty

Gabrielle McGinty lives in St Clair Shores, Michigan.  She is an intermodal pricing analyst for APL Logistics, specializing in rail transportation between Mexico and the United States.  She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a BS in Organization Administration.  Having two grandparents that emigrated from Belgium, Gabrielle was interested in practicing her French and exploring her roots;  she spent the summer of 1994 with YFU in Belgium.  It was such an amazing experience that she always wanted to give back.  She has since become an Area Representative, host mom, Community Trainer, and helps facilitate orientations.  She loves to spend time with the international students, introducing them to American traditions and cultures as well as learning about their own.  Her main goal while serving on the NVAC is to make the YFU volunteer experience easy to get involved and stay involved with.  Volunteers should be given guidance, support, recognition, and a multitude of opportunities within YFU.
