Patricia L. Scott
Director of Human Resources and Administration
Patricia L. Scott joined YFU as Director of Human Resources & Administration in November 2015. Patty leads the efforts of the human resources and administrative teams, including human resources, facilities and events space management, and office services.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Patty has considered the Washington, D.C. area home for more than three decades. In addition to the culture and excitement of living in the Nation’s capital, this area has provided her the opportunity to gain extensive experience working in nonprofit management positions.
Patty possesses over 30 years of hands-on experience directing, designing, and implementing a wide range of human resource programs for large nonprofit organizations. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations and EEO, and performance management and training. Immediately prior to joining YFU, Patty worked as a human capital management consultant for a small company specializing in nonprofit management. She has held several leadership positions at the National School Boards Association, The George Washington University and Georgetown University.
Patty holds a B.S.in psychology from Georgetown University and an M.A. in education and human development from The George Washington University, as well as SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
