Eligibility

• 2 partial scholarships valued at $7,995 for students attending high school in one of the following Michigan counties: Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, or Wayne. 

• Children of JBSD Foundation members or students of Japanese descent are not eligible. 

• Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously traveled to Japan. 

• Students will be responsible for a $1,000 program tuition contribution.

• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Orientation

Japan scholarship winners will participate in a special mandatory Japan Pre-Departure Orientation.

• All students must fly to and from Japan together.
