Ready to Begin an Adventure?
Somewhere in another country, a teenager is waiting, wondering what new high school will open a world of possibilities. If your school is open to new and enriching experiences, than accepting an international exchange student may be for you! Share our American customs and your students’ unique traditions while discovering a new culture right in your own halls.
DISCOVER YOUTH FOR UNDERSTANDING (YFU)
In the wake of World War II, 75 German teenagers were invited into American homes to build bridges of tolerance and understanding. More than 60 years later, the tradition continues as YFU welcomes students from all around the world. Our students are ready and willing to be a part of this legacy of public diplomacy, but we need your assistance.
Get your school started on their greatest journey yet!
As an educator, you want to ensure your students receive the best possible education—and sometimes that education comes from a 16-year-old exchange student or 17-year-old exchange alumnus. That’s why it’s so important not only to encourage your students to study abroad, but to encourage your school system to accept students into your school. By helping to keep the doors of your school always open to exchange, you can give your students the opportunity of a lifetime. Begin learning more about students arriving in your area by completing the “Meet them” section located on the right side of the screen.
