Susan Harcourt
Susan Harcourt is the Chief of Staff to the CEO of the AES Corporation, a global power company with generation and distribution businesses across 13 countries. Prior to her current role, she was a Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions group where she led the acquisition of renewable projects in the US and worked on projects throughout Africa, Asia and Brazil. Susan began her career at AES in the Africa-focused business development group. Before joining AES, she was an economic analyst with the United States Government.
Susan holds an MBA from Wharton, a MA in Energy, Resources & Environment from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a BA from Yale University, where she studied abroad in northeastern Thailand. Susan’s passion for YFU’s mission stems in part from her own international high school experience and a broader belief in the power of cross-cultural understanding.
